In many households, the kitchen is a room that is almost considered sacred. It is the central hub that is used to store and prepare home-made food; a key part of maintaining a happy, healthy lifestyle for all the family.

As the kitchen is such an important area, it makes sense to keep it as organised and family friendly as possible.

That’s where we might be able to help.

Take a look at six of our top storage tips that will transform your kitchen into the perfect cooking environment, to meet the needs of both you and your loved ones.

1. Divided drawers

If you have deep drawers in your kitchen that you’re finding difficult to organise properly, you could put them to full use by inserting a separate slider draw; great for storing pan lids, cutlery, or packaging.

2. The pull out pantry

Make the most of your kitchen space by installing a sliding pantry for your dry ingredients and cans. A sliding cabinet makes it easy to find food, and to see what needs topping up. You can even install a free-standing pantry in the small gap beside your fridge if you’re really short on space.

3. Clear glass jars

Clear class jars are a great way to store dry ingredients like flours, grains and legumes. Place them on your worktops or on shelving near the cooking area. This way, they’re easy to hand, and you know exactly how much of each ingredient you have left.

5. Magnetic storage

Make use of any metal fittings in your kitchen, and turn them into external storage. The sides of your worktop units or white goods can house small metal shelves to store frequently used cutlery. You could even attach magnetic spice holders, for easy access to added flavour.
